Print Media is Evolving
Newsweek’s N’Gai Croal posted a very interesting link via twitter concerning the state of media. Russ Juskalian of Columbia Journalism Review interviewed Clay Shirky questioning him on a broad range of topics. What I found particularly interesting where his views on the state of print media. Testing Out WordPress
When I upgraded to the newer version of Movable Type I began experiencing many errors whenever I would attempt to do the simplest things. After some time I decided figured that Moveable Type was now a lemon and started to setup a Wordpress installation. In the process of exporting my install from Movable Type to WordPress I discovered that I did not have administrative rights in the Movable Type instance. This made no sense to me because there is currently only one user in the instance. I corrected this problem by setting the author_is_superuser = 1 in the mt_author table. This seems to have fixed all of my Movable Type woes. Now I must decide which blogging software I prefer.
Time for a Reboot
This past year has brought many changes to my life. The biggest change has been my marriage to a wonderful woman. I think it’s time to refocus my career and and start doing the things that I would really love to do. It’s time for a reboot.
Lest we Forget
Somewhere between our economy revealing the effects of rampant greed and the sec’s irresponsibility some other news popped up on the radar. The United States Embassy in Yemen was bombed. Each taxpayer is paying has paid an arm and a leg for this not to occur. Yet our economy and safety as a nation seem to be in shambles. How could anybody be apathetic about the current Presidential race?
